What Attracts Crickets?

Crickets are most commonly identified by the loud chirping noise that they make and their long, legs. They like warm, moist environments, so they will be drawn inside your home as the weather begins to cool in late summer and early fall in Fargo and the MN lakes area.

How do you know if you have a cricket infestation? You may find chew marks on walls and fabric. You may see them in large quantities. But most likely, you’ll hear that distinctive sound they make when they rub their wings together.

How Can I Get Rid of Crickets?

Again, removal is done with a vacuum cleaner. If you have numerous crickets, you are best to rely on the high-powered tools of a professional exterminator. You can reduce the likelihood of crickets entering your home by clearing debris away from your home’s foundation (i.e., wood piles). Make sure that your lawn and garden are well maintained too.
